Wine Industry Veteran and Current Chairman of Court of Master Sommeliers, Americas to Lead Business Development for Wine Technology Pioneer
BEDFORD, MA – April 24, 2025 – Coravin, the global technology company that has revolutionized the way consumers enjoy wines by-the-glass, is excited to announce the appointment of Michael Meagher, Master Sommelier, as Director of B2B Sales in the United States. Meagher will lead Coravin’s business-to-business sales strategy across the US, reporting directly to the company’s leadership team.
Meagher, one of only 282 Master Sommeliers worldwide, brings over 20 years of hospitality expertise to Coravin and a keen understanding of both retail and restaurant environments. As the current Chairman of the Court of Master Sommeliers, Americas, a position he will maintain alongside his new responsibilities, Meagher represents the highest level of wine expertise and industry leadership.

Prior to joining Coravin, Meagher founded Sommelier On-Demand Hospitality Services, consulting for clients including Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Delicato Family Wines. His background includes key positions at Treasury Wine Estates and Jackson Family Wines and, where he shined in his ability to drive sales growth and build distributor relationships across multiple markets. A respected competition judge and winner of the National Championship at the Chaine des Rôtisseurs Best Young Sommelier Competition, Meagher has earned global credibility throughout his career.

Meagher holds degrees from Harvard University, the Culinary Institute of America, and the University of Adelaide, along with a Diploma of Wine Studies from the Wine and Spirits Education Trust. As Chairman Emeritus of the Boston Sommelier Society, he is a familiar face at prestigious food and wine events where he continues to be an influential voice in wine education.
Meagher resides in Groton, Massachusetts with his wife and two sons, close by to Coravin’s Bedford headquarters.
