Under his guidance, Renteria Vineyard Management has become one of the largest vineyard management companies in the North Bay area, managing over 2,200 acres and employing 80 full-time and up to 400 seasonal workers. The company is renowned for its comprehensive services, including vineyard development, precision pruning, and sustainable farming practices, all aimed at unlocking each vineyard’s highest potential. Beyond vineyard management, Renteria founded Tres Perlas, a boutique wine label named in honor of his three daughters. Tres Perlas produces limited-production wines sourced from esteemed vineyards, reflecting the family’s commitment to quality and heritage.

“Oscar Renteria has significantly influenced Napa Valley through his leadership of Renteria Vineyard Management and through his unwavering commitment to quality embodied in Tres Perlas,” said Caleb Mosley, Executive Director, Napa Valley Grapegrowers. “His dedication to the community is evident through initiatives like the Farmworker Concierge Service, which assists Renteria’s employees with legal needs, educational services, and pathways to citizenship, showcasing his commitment to both personal and professional growth.”

Renteria exemplifies a holistic approach to business, intertwining agricultural excellence with genuine community engagement and support. In addition to the Napa Valley Grapegrowers and the Napa Valley Farmworker Foundation, he is on the Board of Directors of St. Helena Hospital Foundation and has also served on the Napa Valley Community Foundation and the Justin-Siena High School Board of Trustees. These roles highlight his involvement in supporting both the local agricultural community educational institutions, and healthcare initiatives in the Napa Valley area.

Through his support and generous donations to numerous nonprofit organizations in Napa Valley, where the mission focuses on furthering the education of farmworkers and their families, Oscar has helped empower these communities, providing opportunities for education and advancement, which positively impact their lives and future prospects.

Oscar Renteria was born in St. Helena, California. He graduated from St. Mary’s College in 1989 with a Bachelor of Science degree, is married to Denise Renteria, and together they have three daughters: Isabella, Mia, and Gabriella.

“Oscar is known for his notable sense of humor and doesn’t take everything too seriously, always finding a way to bring lightness into any situation. Whether at work or in life, he thrives most when he helps and knows how to enjoy both,” said Pete Richmond, NVG Board President. “Much like his father, Salvador, Oscar has an extraordinary ability to build strong, lasting connections with others. His hospitable nature, combined with his skill in cultivating long-term relationships, has earned him widespread respect within the Napa Valley wine community and a lasting impact on everyone he encounters.”
