Québec has officially included it among the certifications accepted by the Société des alcools du Québec (SAQ), the provincial monopoly that regulates the sale of alcoholic beverages.

Diversity Ark is an innovative certification that now involves a team of naturalists, agronomists, and biologists, and adopts a holistic approach to biodiversity protection, offering a reliable and recognized method.

After receiving European recognition from CSQA, it reached a new milestone at the end of 2024: inclusion among the standards recognized by Equalitas for assessing the soil biodiversity indicator.

We are truly proud of the evolution we are experiencing and the success the certification is achieving. It all stems from our vision, which places the long-term health of people and soil at the center, promoting responsible production based on a scientific approach,” commented Amadeo and Zaninotti.

This further major achievement was also made possible thanks to the efforts of Inama, a historic Veneto winery known for its commitment to sustainable production. Inama initiated the accreditation process and secured approval for the certification to be recognized by the SAQ.

“We believed in the Diversity Ark certification from the beginning. We were in fact the first company to start the process and, as such, actively contributed to the development of the certification alongside the agronomists and various experts from Vitenova. We are truly proud that the certification—registered with the EUIPO and validated at the European level by CSQA, the result of years of collaboration and research—is now officially accredited for its research value and measurability by the Québec Monopoly, alongside Organic and other sustainability certifications. This recognition will further strengthen our presence in Canada, allowing us to share the work done to enhance biodiversity, balance, and the resilience of our vineyards. It’s a commitment that translates into a new model of well-being for nature, bringing to the glass wines that reflect respect for the environment and the authenticity of our work,” said Stefano Inama.

The inclusion in the system of certifications approved by Québec marks another step forward in the growth and international consolidation of Diversity Ark, already recognized in Europe by CSQA and Equalitas.

Approval by a key market like Canada strengthens the credibility of this certification as a benchmark standard for environmental sustainability in the wine industry.
Diversity Ark thus confirms itself as a reliable option for companies aiming to stand out for their commitment to biodiversity and environmental stewardship. This approval opens up new commercial opportunities, facilitating access to markets regulated by monopolies and providing further validation of the certification’s protocol.
