NAPA, Calif. (May 16, 2025) — Clos du Val Winery, located in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley, is pleased to announce the promotion of Allie Miller to the role of Assistant Winemaker. The appointment strengthens the winery’s winemaking team, led by Winemaker Carmel Greenberg, and reflects Clos du Val’s ongoing commitment to crafting timeless, Bordeaux-inspired wines with a modern sensibility.

Allie joined Clos du Val four years ago, bringing with her more than a decade of experience across diverse wine regions and production environments. Her journey has included fourteen vintages in the United States (California, New York, Pennsylvania), as well as international harvests in Germany, New Zealand, and Australia. Within Clos du Val, she has excelled in a range of roles, from Estate Host to cellar operations and production assistant, consistently demonstrating her operational expertise, winemaking ability, and passion for the craft.
“Allie brings an unbeatable combination of technical skill, operational excellence and a talent for sharing the Clos du Val story through our wines,” says Winemaker Carmel Greenberg. “Her enthusiasm, dedication and collaborative spirit have made her an invaluable member of our team. We are thrilled to see her take this next step in her winemaking journey.”
In her new role, Allie will support all aspects of Clos du Val’s winegrowing and production efforts, with a focus on tasting, managing winery logistics, and supporting Winemaker Carmel Greenberg. She is also committed to leveraging the latest technology to optimize winery operations and enhance sustainability practices.
Allie’s promotion comes at an exciting time for Clos du Val, as the winery continues to expand its sustainability initiatives. Recently, Clos du Val unveiled its 2024 Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc and 2024 Rosé in lightweight glass bottles, a move designed to significantly reduce its carbon footprint without compromising on quality. The winery, which is Napa Green Certified, is pursuing organic certification for its two estate vineyards.
Allie also pursues her creativity in other ways as a vocalist, guitarist, and pianist in the bluesy folk rock duo Cosmo & Leslie, playing throughout the Bay Area.
