World-class Artists Performing in Iconic Napa Valley Locations

April 28, 2025, Napa, CA – Music in the Vineyards (MITV) announces their 31st season of concerts from August 1-24, 2025. Presented by world-class artists in iconic vineyards throughout Napa Valley, the 2025 season explores the theme of Transformation – reimagining familiar music in ways that offer fresh perspectives and allow the listener to see both art and opportunity in a new light.
Featured artists for the 2025 season include the Borromeo String Quartet, Pacifica Quartet and Ariel Quartet, plus the Pavone String Quartet, winners of Music in the Vineyards’ 2025 Fellowship Quartet competition, who are currently undergraduate students at the prestigious Shepherd School of Music at Rice University.
Exceptional concert venues include Clos Pegase Winery, Frog’s Leap Winery, Hess Persson Estates, Domaine Carneros, Louis M. Martini Winery, Maxville Winery, Stag’s Leap Wine Cellars, Hudson Ranch, Ehlers Estate, Markham Vineyards, Hudson House – Beringer Vineyards, Spottswoode Estate, Silverado Vineyards, and Inglenook. Two concerts with family-friendly pricing include a recital of this year’s Fellowship String Quartet (Pavone String Quartet) at Congregation Beth Shalom and the popular “Play-Along” Concert returns to Napa First Presbyterian Church, where everyone from the community is invited to bring their instruments for a play-along of the popular Pachelbel Canon in D.
Highlights of the programming this year incorporate engaging themes, including: “Poetry in Music” featuring Schubert’s Trout Quintet; “Bohemian Rhapsody” with instrumental excerpts from Puccini’s La Bohéme; “Echos of Bach: The Glass Perspective” with music by J.S. Bach and Philip Glass; “Romance & Revolution” with works by Russian composers, a first-ever collaboration with Napa Valley Jazz Society at the historic Spottswoode Estate and many more. An elevated fundraising event will feature Grammy-winning guitarist Jason Vieaux in an immersive evening of virtuosic music, food, wine, and conversation.
MITV showcases distinguished musicians as well emerging young talent during its four-week season. With complimentary wine tastings at each intermission and breathtaking views of the Napa Valley, this unique combination of wine country ambiance and great musicianship allows audiences to experience chamber music in the small intimate settings for which it was intended.
Since its inception in 1995, Artistic Directors Daria Tedeschi Adams and Michael Adams have overseen the festival’s programming, and Michael’s signature program notes, delivered from the stage, have been a featured from day one.
In addition to the concert series, MITV presents musical events throughout the Napa Valley during the festival, including concerts in seniors living centers, at the Boys & Girls Clubs’ and public spaces. MITV also commissions works from well-known and aspiring composers, offers educational mentoring for Napa’s young music students and adult amateurs, and intensive mentoring and career training for the next generation of professional musicians through the annual Fellowship String Quartet.
