Castle Rock Winery Wins Two Gold Medals at 2025 Toast of the Coast Wine Competition

Rolling Hills, CA (April 24, 2025) — Castle Rock Winery proudly announces its latest accolades from the 2025 Toast of the Coast Wine Competition, a prestigious event held annually as part of the San Diego County Fair. Two of Castle Rock’s standout wines earned Gold Medals and 90-point scores, further solidifying the winery’s reputation for delivering exceptional quality at accessible prices.

The 2023 Castle Rock California Pinot Noir ($12.00) impressed judges with its elegant structure, vibrant cherry and raspberry notes, and silky finish. Crafted under the direction of Winemaker Meghan Daniels, this wine expresses the finesse of California’s cool-climate vineyards and continues Castle Rock’s legacy of producing award-winning Pinot Noirs that overdeliver at their price point.

Also honored was the 2022 Castle Rock Lodi Zinfandel ($11.00), which earned a Gold Medal for its bold, fruit-forward profile. This wine showcases rich blackberry, spice, and subtle oak nuances — hallmarks of Lodi’s sun-drenched vineyards — and reflects the region’s reputation for robust, flavorful Zinfandels.

“These awards reflect our ongoing mission: to make great wine affordable,” said Greg Popovich, Founder of Castle Rock Winery. “We’re honored by the recognition from the Toast of the Coast judges and thrilled to see our wines resonating with both critics and consumers alike.”
