Austin, TX — [April 1, 2025] — The Wine & Food Foundation (WFF) is honored to announce the 2025 Featured Winemaker for the 39th Annual Rare & Fine Wine Auction Gala, Eric Jensen of Booker Vineyard. WFF, a non-profit organization that leverages a passion for wine and food to battle food insecurity and support the local Austin hospitality industry, is excited to host Jensen for its 39th annual event, which brings together passionate food and wine enthusiasts for an unforgettable evening of fine wines, exquisite cuisine, and philanthropic camaraderie.

Eric Jensen, Winemaker and Founder behind Booker Vineyard, My Favorite Neighbor, and Harvey and Harriet Wine, has over 25 years of experience in the wine industry, having moved to Paso Robles, California, in 2000 to live the life of a winegrower. He’s since become a champion for the Paso Robles Wine Community, one of the most respected makers of Rhône-style wines, and celebrated for his organic farming practices.

“We are honored to have Eric Jensen join us for the 39th annual Rare & Fine Wine Auction Gala. His passion for thoughtfully farming and crafting world class wines, as well as his dedication to sustainable farming practices, makes him the perfect winemaker to highlight at our event. He has been a force in the industry from the start, and we are thrilled to feature him at our biggest fundraising event of the year,” said WFF Executive Director Denise Silverman.

The event takes place on Saturday, November 8, at the JW Marriott Austin, with ticket sales launching later this Spring. The annual event will include a reception where a delicious dinner is expertly paired with some of the best wines from across the country. Attendees will bid for rare and fine wines as well as other luxury packages in the highly anticipated live auction.

“It’s exciting to be welcomed by an organization and its community who share my deep passion for wine and giving back,” said winemaker Eric Jensen. “Their dedication to supporting important causes is admirable, and I can’t wait to share my wines in celebration of this incredible mission.”

Wine & Food Foundation’s annual gala supports charitable initiatives related to its mission and celebrates the highest standards of quality in wine and food, recognizing that excellence enhances enjoyment and appreciation. The organization’s philanthropic mission is twofold: battle and prevent food insecurity and support local hospitality professionals with educational scholarships to help further their career in the local hospitality market. This year, WFF is supporting the following organizations whose initiatives directly impact our local Austin neighbors in need of nourishment: Sustainable Food Center, Caritas of Austin, Keep Austin Fed, and Sunday Lunchbox. Its annual hospitality education scholarships program will kick off later this year. Registration for the 39th annual Rare & Fine Wine Auction Gala begins in May 2025, with early purchasing opportunities for members.
